A Prototype Designed To Help Children With Visual Dyslexia
This article presents an application designed to support parents (guardians) of children in primary school with visual dyslexia, with the aim of making it easier to monitor their children's educational progress. The prototype combines advanced technology, namely generative artificial intelligence, and accessibility, to promote children's autonomy and facilitate parental interaction in the learning process. To ensure a solution focused on the needs of end users, personas (parent and child) were considered, and User Stories were developed based on an analysis of the state of the art of this type of application. The prototype was implemented in three main modules: BackOffice, Core Services, and FrontOffice, with the aim of ensuring a modular architecture, promoting the separation of responsibilities, ease of maintenance and scalability of the system, and role-based permission management, which was important for enabling the personalization of the user experience.
