Towards A Model of Institutional Intelligence: Design of An Integrated Statistical System For The Universidad Francisco de Paula Santander Ocaña Sectional

Nowadays, with the rise of technology, businesses are forced to be managed intelligently. Research points out that the unbiased use of statistical tools in data analysis is a timely source of information for decision makers; at the same time, it becomes a competitive advantage difficult to replicate. The objective of this research is to present the results of phase 1, to design an application for statistical management and the integration of an institutional data warehouse at the Universidad Francisco de Paula San-tander Ocaña; this application is presented as a key opportunity to transform the way in which the institution manages and uses information. During the study, the authors of the thesis used a descriptive-applied research approach, having previously conducted a diagnosis of a real context using institutional data, employing various information-gathering techniques, among them the interview. The results will demonstrate the relevance of having a tool to guide the processes within the institution and to obtain first-hand, accurate, and effective information.
