Migration To The Cloud of Tourism E-Commerce Platforms

This article analyzes the migration of a SaaS platform from a public cloud to AWS. The transition forces the SaaS provider to reformulate its service model, shifting from a comprehensive offering to focusing exclusively on software development and delivery, while the infrastructure is managed by a third-party designated by the client. The study examines the associated technical and organizational challenges, including SLA reviews, responsibility redistribution, and adaptation of internal processes. Key lessons learned and implications for the future of SaaS providers in environments where clients hold partial control of the provider’s root cloud account and assume greater control over infrastructure are presented.
