Technological Competencies Applied To Research Among Faculty Members and Students In The Humanities At The Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Honduras
Currently, the incorporation of software, digital platforms, and technological tools in research has become particularly relevant in all areas of knowledge. In this sense, the present study aims to understand the experience of students and faculty members of the Faculty of Humanities and Arts at Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Honduras (UNAH, National Autonomous University of Honduras) regarding this matter. Methodologically, a quantitative study was proposed, taking as a reference the entire group of beneficiaries of a research training program, 69 subjects, to whom an expanded version of the SDRC-1 test was applied in contrast with sociodemographic and academic characteristics. The results showed a greater predominance of faculty members in the research field who have adopted multiple roles that allow them to learn basic aspects of research, with theoretical construction competencies obtaining the highest score, indicating a need to strengthen data processing and digital identity competencies. Therefore, it is concluded that there is a need for specialized training in data and information processing techniques to promote the production of knowledge in the humanities.
