The Use of Artificial Intelligence In Photography From An Ethical and Authenticity Perspective
This study examines the use of artificial intelligence platforms, such as Open AI's Dall-E, in the creation of photographic images via smartphone in the context of authenticity and ethics according to prominent photographers with long careers. The research was conducted under an interpretive paradigm and a case design, with a sample of 15 professional photographers. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews and processed using thematic analysis, which allowed for the interpretation of different perceptions of the participants regarding the growth of artificial intelligence use in the field of photography. The results reveal that artificial intelligence facilitates various technical processes, redefines the role of the photographer in a conceptual direction, and encourages creative exploration and new tools for visual narrative. However, it poses several challenges related to the transparency of algorithm use and the preservation of the authenticity of photography
