Leadership, Digital Work Environments, and Employee Mental Health: A Human-Centered Organizational Perspective
Employee mental health has become a critical concern in modern organizations, particularly in the context of digital transformation and increasingly complex work environments. This paper examines the role of leadership in promoting mental health and psychological well-being, focusing on how digital work environments reshape leadership practices and organizational climate. The study combines theoretical insights with empirical data collected through a survey of professionals across different organizational roles. The findings indicate that leadership practices, including communication, emotional intelligence, and recognition, significantly influence employee mental health and motivation. Furthermore, digital tools enable new approaches to monitoring and supporting well-being but also introduce challenges related to stress and information overload. The paper contributes by positioning leadership as a central mechanism in managing mental health within digitally enabled organizations, emphasizing the importance of human-centered management practices.
