Mediation of Environmental Sustainability Content With Ai In Architecture.
The use of artificial intelligence tools has demonstrated great potential in improving teaching and facilitating content in a more creative way, allowing users to feel transported to a range of real or imagined environments. Collaborative learning through the use of AI could actively enhance group discussions on a particular topic or problem. The Costa Rica Institute of Technology, TEC, promotes the use of technology as part of its new pedagogical model and in coordination with the Faculty of Education of the University of Barcelona, Spain, offered a course in 2025 for university teachers focused on the use of emerging technologies: resources created with artificial intelligence so that the learning acquired can be implemented in a contextualized way in their courses. As part of the work carried out, basic technical elements of AI were applied to the design of a pedagogical mediation resource that was subsequently applied in the Environmental and Architectural Systems I course of the School of Architecture and Urbanism of the TEC, to find out the opinion of the students regarding their level of concern about future scenarios worldwide regarding the environmental sustainability of the planet. This article summarizes some of the main experiences obtained by students in the course at the high school level, in relation to the use of environmental sustainability, mediated by AI in university teaching.
